Which page do I use if my product is not in the list?
Pick the closest product, or send the product and we match it. A hot chocolate mix, for example, is packed like ground coffee without the valve.
Fourteen pouches sorted by what goes inside them rather than by shape. Each one pairs the right film, closure and size with one product, so you can start from your own shelf.

Fishing Bait PouchesThe other ranges on this site are sorted by shape: stand up, flat, box-shaped, spout. This one starts from the product and works back to the pouch.
That matters because a coffee bag and a pet food bag can look alike on a shelf and be built very differently underneath. The valve, the film thickness and the zipper all change.
Find your product in the table and start from that page.

Small and mid-sized food producers make up most of it. A roaster with two sizes, a bakery with a cookie bag, a dog treat brand with a 500 g pouch and a 2 kg bag.
Supplement, protein and bath product brands come next. Then the specialists: seed merchants, bait companies and freeze dried food makers.
Most of them start with a coffee bag with a valve and zipper or its equivalent for their own product, then add sizes and flavours on the next order.
Fill weight alone does not give a size. The same 500 g needs a bigger pouch for granola than for sugar, because granola is lighter per millilitre.
The table shows a common size for a typical fill of several products. Weigh your own product into a test pouch before fixing the final size, because recipes vary.
| Product and fill | A common size (W × H + gusset) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 250 g coffee beans | 140 × 220 + 80 mm | Beans are light, about 0.4 g per ml |
| 100 g loose leaf tea | 130 × 200 + 80 mm | Tea is very light, 0.2 to 0.3 g per ml |
| 150 g dog treats | 120 × 200 + 70 mm | Irregular pieces need headspace |
| 1 kg whey protein | 200 × 300 + 110 mm | Powder packs down, 0.5 g per ml |
| 1.5 kg flour | 180 × 320 + 100 mm | Dense, 0.6 g per ml, flat bottom helps |
| 50 g freeze dried fruit | 130 × 200 + 80 mm | Very light and bulky, 0.15 g per ml |
Roasted coffee gives off carbon dioxide for days after roasting. Seal it in a plain bag and the bag swells. A one-way valve lets the gas out without letting oxygen in.
Tea does not need a valve, but it loses aroma fast in a thin bag. A foil or metallised laminate keeps aroma in, and a zipper keeps it there after opening.
Both sell on the shelf, so both tend to be printed in full colour with a matte finish. The coffee pouches with a one-way valve page explains where the valve sits and why.
Crisps, popcorn and biscuits go soft when moisture gets in. A metallised or foil laminate stops that, and a nitrogen flush on the filling line stops the fat going stale.
Snacks sell on sight, so a window or a clear panel is common. Biscuits break, so a flat pouch with a tray or a stand up pouch with a stiff film keeps them whole.
The snack pouches with a window are the general purpose option. For bakes, the cookie and biscuit bags are sized to the number of pieces rather than the weight.
Protein powder is sold in 500 g to 5 kg. Above 1 kg the pouch needs thick film, 120 to 150 microns, and a wide zipper, because the customer opens it every day for a month.
Supplements are the opposite: 30 to 120 capsules or gummies in a small foil stand up bag with a zipper. The bag often replaces a bottle, so it needs to look as premium as the bottle did.
Both use a matte or soft touch finish. The protein powder pouches with a wide zipper are made with a scoop-friendly opening, and the supplement pouches are made small enough to post.
Pet food is fatty, heavy and opened often. The inner PE layer must resist fat so the seals do not weaken over the life of the bag. Film for 2 kg of kibble runs at 140 microns or more.
Treats are lighter and sold in 100 g to 500 g with a window so the owner can see the pieces. Freeze dried raw treats need a true foil barrier.
The pet food pouches for kibble and treats are offered as stand up pouches to 1 kg and quad seal bags above that, with a slider zipper on the big sizes.
Flour, rice and oats are dense and heavy, so the bag works hard on the base seal. A flat bottom bag or a stand up pouch with a deep gusset handles 1 kg to 2.5 kg.
Fine flour gets into the seal area and stops it bonding. Leave extra film above the fill line and keep the sealing jaw clean.
Seeds are different. Garden seed packets are tiny and printed with the plant on the front. Bird seed and microgreen seed go in bags to 5 kg with a window. The seed bags from packets to 5 kg cover both ends.
Yes, with the right film. Bath salts pull moisture from the air and clump. Sugar scrubs contain oil that migrates through a paper bag. A foil or metallised laminate with a zipper fixes both.
These pouches sell as gifts, so soft touch matte and spot gloss finishes are common. A frosted window shows the colour of the salts without a full view.
The bath salt and scrub pouches with a zipper are the only non-food pouch in this range, and are built the same way as a snack pouch.
Freeze dried food is the most moisture-sensitive product on this page. It needs true aluminium foil, a zipper and room for an oxygen absorber sachet. A metallised film is not enough for a 12 month shelf life.
Ready meals go the other way. The pouch must take heat: a retort cycle at 121 °C, or a microwave with a steam vent. The film is PET / foil / CPP for retort, or a clear PET / CPP for microwave.
The freeze dried food bags with a foil barrier are foil stand up pouches with a zipper, and the ready meal pouches are flat or stand up retort pouches with a tear notch.
Bait pouches get wet, muddy and left in a van. The film is thicker than a food pouch, 130 microns or more, with a zipper that still closes with wet hands.
Boilies and pellets sell in 1 kg and 5 kg. Liquids and glugs sell in spout pouches. Groundbait sells in flat heat sealed bags.
The fishing bait pouches with a tough zipper are printed in full colour with the bait photographed on the front, which is how the market expects them.
The pouch that looks right on a competitor's shelf may be built for a different product. A tea pouch used for coffee swells. A snack pouch used for freeze dried fruit goes soft in a month.
The fix is to brief the product, not the pouch. Tell us what goes in, how long it must last and how the customer uses it. The six steps after the list are the short version of that brief.
Start with the product page that matches what you sell, then send the fill weight, the quantity and your artwork. If the product is unusual, describe it and we pick the build.
Every order is quoted in writing from £0.25 per unit, with the quantity stated for that order. The free design proof comes from our designers on the correct dieline.
Production runs 4 to 6 business days after approval and free tracked delivery anywhere in the UK takes 2 to 3 business days. Misprinted or damaged pouches are reprinted or refunded when you report them with photos inside 10 days. Compostable, food-contact and higher barrier materials are offered as options on request.
Four short steps: pick a real pouch photo, place your logo on it, choose the colour and finish, and send it. Our designers turn it into a free print-ready proof.
Fill weight, closure, barrier and quantity decide the price. Send what you know and a packaging specialist comes back within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.

Pick the closest product, or send the product and we match it. A hot chocolate mix, for example, is packed like ground coffee without the valve.
No. Tea does not release gas after packing. It needs a light-tight film and a zipper, not a valve.
Yes. The pouch is sealed on a line that replaces the air with nitrogen, which keeps fried snacks fresh for longer. The film must be a foil or metallised laminate.
At least 140 microns, with a fat-resistant inner layer. Lighter film tears at the corners when the bag is lifted.
No. Bath salts are not harmed by light, so a clear or frosted window is a good way to show the colour.
No, the absorber is added at filling. The bag is sized with room for one, and the foil build keeps it working.
Yes, with a microwave film and a steam vent. Retort pouches with foil must be emptied before microwaving.
A flat printed bag sized to the cookies, often with a window, so it posts inside the box. See the cookie and biscuit bags for sizes by piece count.
Yes. A small foil stand up pouch with a zipper holds 30 to 120 capsules or gummies and posts through a letterbox.
A moisture barrier film and a dry fill. Foil or metallised laminates stop humidity reaching the seed.
A slider zipper or a wide press-to-close zipper both close when wet, and the thicker film keeps the pouch from tearing on the bank.
The artwork can, but each fill needs its own size. Flour is dense, so the 1.5 kg bag is noticeably taller.
